Erell Germia, a fourth-year doctoral student, in collaboration with her advisor Dr. Panorkou, published the article Using Scratch programming to explore coordinates at Mathematics Teacher: Learning and Teaching PK-12, the journal produced by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The paper is about the curriculum they designed for integrating Scratch programming with the mathematics of coordinates as part of the project, Assimilating Computational and Mathematical Thinking into Earth and Environmental Science, which is funded by the National Science Foundation.
