Westerdahl Fellowships

The MSU Westerdahl Fellowship supports full-time studies in the Ph.D. program in Mathematics Education at Montclair State University.

The Fellowship provides full tuition and a stipend of $25,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. MSU Westerdahl Fellows work with faculty and peers as they gain valuable research and teaching experiences while completing a doctoral degree.

The Fellowships will be awarded on a competitive basis to applicants with financial need. To express your interest in applying for the fellowship, you only need to indicate on your application that you’re interested in a full-time research assistantship. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate both a strong potential for scholarly work in mathematics education and a passion for mathematics teaching and learning.

Contact Dr. Nicole Panorkou, Program Director, panorkoun@montclair.edu, for more information about the Ph.D. program and the fellowship. Visit the Graduate School website for application information.
