Student presents research at PMENA2023
Amanda Provost presented her project Exploring Lunar Phases by Co-splitting Fractions and Angles
Posted in: Research Presentations
Montclair State University Mathematics Education PhD candidate Amanda Provost and her advisor Dr. Nicole Panorkou presented a poster at the annual Psychology of Mathematics Education conference in Reno, Nevada. The poster described students’ covariational and multiplicative reasoning about fractions and angles related to the lunar phases using the Moon Pie simulation from Dr. Panorkou’s ACMES project. The Moon Pie and other middle school computer simulations can be viewed on the ACMES website.
Great work, Amanda!
