New Campus Buildings Take Shape
Construction continues on the University’s new $55 million Center for Environmental and Life Sciences and $66 million School of Business buildings, both of which will provide students with state-of-the-art classroom and laboratory facilities.
The two facilities are being built in part with funds from New Jersey’s “Building our Future” Bond Act, with completion of both scheduled for next spring.
The new building for the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences will be a 107,500-square-foot facility devoted to environmental and pharmaceutical life science research and learning. The 143,000-square-foot School of Business building will provide students with a high-tech learning environment, complete with a trading floor and an entrepreneurship center.
Work also continues on plans for the $59 million, 60,000-square-foot School of Communication and Media building, which will enable the University to continue its long-established tradition of preparing students for future changes in media, which now includes the digital arena.
