Dwight Gooden Signs Memoir on Campus
Legendary NY Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden visited the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in June to sign copies of his memoir, Doc. The book details his life as a professional baseball player and his struggle to recover from cocaine addiction. During his career, Gooden was named Rookie of the Year in 1984 and received the Cy Young Award in 1985. He eventually overcame his addiction and is currently on a book tour.
