Library Instruction
Posted in: Homepage Features
If you’re teaching this Fall, and would like to have a librarian visit your class, now is the time to submit requests! Typical library instruction classes are 60-75 minutes long, and can cover a variety of topics. They can be held in the library’s computer lab classroom (Room 203), in your regular classroom, or virtually on Zoom.
Descriptions of our general workshops can be found here, any of which can be customized to the needs of your students, graduate assistants, or lab groups, as well as include:
- Evaluating information sources
- Database searching strategies
- Literature reviews
- Annotated bibliographies
- Deep dives on specific databases (e.g. PsycINFO, Web of Science, etc.)
- Citation searching
- Asynchronous tutorials through course/assignment-specific library research guides
To schedule a class, fill out one of the forms below. We require two weeks advance notice for bookings, and suggest submitting backup dates in case your first choice is not available:
If you have any questions, you can contact the Reference & Research Services Department. You can also reach out to your department’s liaison librarian for more information.
