Cafe Diem Renovation for Starbucks!

Good news, construction is about to begin for the new Starbucks venue in the former Cafe Diem space attached to Sprague Library, expected to open  August 2024!

Starting on Monday, April 22, the former Cafe Diem space at  Sprague Library will be under construction while the venue is converted into a new Starbucks coffee shop for the campus community. To minimize exposure to noise and disruption at the library, most work is planned to take place between the hours of 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily. During these times visitors and occupants of the library may expect to encounter some construction noise. We are mindful of the importance of the library and will do our best to minimize negative impact from this work. Please ask any staff member at the library’s front desk for suggestions of other places to work.

Grand Opening in August!

The project is expected to continue throughout the summer, with a grand opening slated to occur in August 2024!

Located in the heart of campus at the Cafe Diem location in Sprague Library, the Starbucks will feature Starbucks’ full menu of beverages and food, and will be one of the largest such venues located on a college campus.
