Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Posted in: Homepage Features
As April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we at Montclair State University want to take this opportunity to express our solidarity with those who have been affected by sexual assault. We understand that this is a sensitive and difficult topic to discuss, and we want to remind everyone that the Sprague Library is a safe and confidential space for all students, faculty and staff.
In line with this, we would like to highlight the various research materials that are available through our library that can assist individuals who have been victims of sexual assault or are engaged in sexual assault awareness. We also want to emphasize the importance of Montclair State University’s Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign: Start by Believing. This campaign seeks to raise awareness of the prevalence of sexual assault and encourage individuals to support and believe survivors when they come forward.
We encourage anyone who may need support or resources to utilize our available materials or reach out to our librarians for assistance.
Let us stand together in creating a culture of awareness, prevention, and support for those who have been affected by sexual assault.
