Film Screening of The Spy Behind Home Plate with Filmmaker Aviva Kempner on Tues., Nov. 2

On Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6pm,  there will be a film screening of Aviva Kempner’s The Spy Behind Home Plate.  After the screening,  Aviva Kempner (appearing virtually) will discuss her film with Professor Anthony Pemberton (School of Communication & Media) and answer questions about her filmmaking career. The 2019 film chronicles the life of Newark Native and catcher Moe Berg who was recruited by the OSS during World War II to spy on the German nuclear program.
