For the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, Montclair State University is offering a series of free public activities from October to December 2019 that explore New Jersey’s contributions to space science as well as the role of NJ astronauts and scientists in advancing space exploration. Important figures in the field like Buzz Aldrin and Mark & Scott Kelly have strong ties to Essex County. Other topics covered include the Space Race along with the ethical and technological impact of space travel.
