Ask Away: 5 Questions for an Italian Student Exploring the Business of Music

The Language, Business & Culture Program at Montclair State provided Cristina with so many valuable resources that enriched her growth both academically and professionally. Cristina would like to continue to pursue her passion for Italian and business while also intertwining music into her future career.

After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in May 2021, Cristina will be returning to Montclair State in September to pursue my MBA. In addition to my MBA, she also plans to enroll in an online Music Business Professional Certificate. With Italian being the unofficial language of music, Cristina envisions herself managing Italian and Italian American artists.

Lead with Languages, a national campaign aimed at making language proficiency a national priority, features Lazaro in “Ask Away,” their segment dedicated to students sharing their stories. Lead with Languages’ ultimate goal is to create a new generation of Americans competent in other languages and cultures and fully equipped to compete and succeed in a global economy
