Major Lazaro Valdes Fraga Featured in National Campaign
Posted in: Internship, media coverage, Spanish
Lazaro declared his major, Language, Business & Culture with a concentration in Spanish, in October 2019. Soon thereafter, and despite the pandemic, Lazaro was a Fellow in the New Jersey Governor’s Hispanic Fellows Program and successfully completed his international experience with a summer internship at Gabi Solutions, Inc. This hands-on experience provided him with not only an opportunity to hone his language skills, but also to understand how they benefit him in the workplace, especially in his leadership role on an international marketing plan for new product launch for Covid-19 business re-entry in Latin America.
Lead with Languages, a national campaign aimed at making language proficiency a national priority, features Lazaro in “Ask Away,” their segment dedicated to students sharing their stories. Lead with Languages’ ultimate goal is to create a new generation of Americans competent in other languages and cultures and fully equipped to compete and succeed in a global economy
