The graduate program in Kinesiology provides students the opportunity to engage in advanced study in the general field of kinesiology, and to enhance proficiency in an area of concentration. The Concentration in Sport Administration is designed to cultivate knowledge in specialized and skills needed to work in various facets of the sport industry. The program features a strong core in Sport Administration with options to take additional coursework in Athletic Administration (for certified teachers seeking the Supervisory Certificate), Coaching, and Sport Business. Additionally, students complete a course in research methods and choose between an internship or research project to satisfy their culminating experience.

- Completed in two years over 33 credit hours
- Classes held evenings, hybrid format with a mix of in-person classes
- In-person classes in fully mediated classrooms
- State-of-the-art Human Performance Laboratory for activities, research related to exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning, and coaching techniques
All applicants to the Sport Administration Concentration must meet the basic admission requirements for graduate study at Montclair State University. Aside from earning a bachelor’s degree, there are no prerequisites for entry into the concentration in Sport Administration. The application process is conducted on a rolling admission basis with interested candidates submitting an online application, statement of objectives (essay), undergraduate transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and application fee.
