Winter Concerts in Kasser Theater: Dec 6-8

The Cali School presents its large ensembles in the Peak Performances series at Kasser Theater:

Friday, December 6, at 7:30 pm:  Cali School chamber ensembles perform a wide variety of works from the international repertoire. A guest quartet from East China Normal University will perform at this concert.

Saturday, December 7, at 3 pm: MSU Jazz Band, directed by Jeffrey Kunkel, presents works from the classic and contemporary jazz repertoire.

Saturday, December 7, at 8 pm: MSU Opera, directed by Jeffrey Gall,  presents “A Spotlight on Opera’s Dysfunctional Families” – Scenes from Stravinsky: Oedipus Rex; Verdi: La Traviata; Handel: Ariodante; and Blitzstein: Regina

Sunday, December 8, at 3 pm:  The MSU Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ken Lam, performs the Beatrice Crawford Memorial Concert. They will be joined by faculty and students from East China Normal University in works by Chinese composers and Antonin Dvořák.
