The Cali School welcomes Tórshavn’s Chamber Choir: Voices of the Faroes

The choir, under the direction of Bernharður Wilkinson, is beginning its 28th season with concerts in Iceland and the United States. In addition to its regular concerts in the Faroe Islands, it has toured the Nordic and European countries several times and performed at the Festival d’ile de France in Paris.

The program features music from the Faroe Islands as well as readings from the works of the award winning Faroese author William Heinesen. Singing has always been an essential part of the island’s culture and heritage that includes a strong choral tradition, a vibrant music scene and a continuous output of new choral compositions.
