It will showcase works that are musical adaptations of works not intended originally for musical settings, including literary works by Shakespeare, Melville, Lewis, Shaw, Hugo, and Bronte; and musical works by Britten, Verdi, Puccini, Hoiby, Loewe, Bernstein, and Porter.

The performances will include many of Prof. Ravina’s favorites performed by the people who knew him best, his students and colleagues from the New York Philharmonic. With special guest artists Glen Dicterow, violin, and Karen Dreyfus, viola.
