MSU Jazz Band, Jeffrey Kunkel, director, performing literature of the contemporary jazz ensemble.

Works include Jeffrey Kunkel’s Darkness Descending, composed in honor of his mentor, the legendary jazz pianist, composer and theorist George Russell who died in July 2009.
