In addition to giving us a glimpse of ancient daily life, the process of making cloth by hand influences language and becomes a source of metaphor. Textile work is part of the etymology of words like hymn, rhapsody, and text. Come learn about how ancient textiles were made and how this craft continues to have an impact on how we speak today.
