The top three placed schools in the competition at the Institute for the Humanities’ Classics Day, November 4, 2016, were (first) Ridge High School, Bernardsville, with teacher Joshua Gebhardt, (second) Ridgewood High School, Ridgewood, with teacher Stephanie Gigante, and (third), Montclair Kimberley Academy, Montclair, with teacher John Jacobs. Schools were represented by a maximum of six students per school and were required to answer 99 multiple choice questions on Roman Civilization, Classical Mythology, and Latin grammar — all in thirty minutes! Congratulations to all!
