Preceding the upcoming February events focusing on the relationship between cinema and choreography, a screening of Luchino Visconti’s classic 1960 film, “Rocco and His Brothers” will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 5:00pm in Schmitt Hall 104. This event includes an introduction by MSU Film Studies professor Alexios Lykidis, who will also moderate a post-screening Q&A about the film, which discusses the topics of the divide between north and south, family, love, and brotherhood, among many others.

This event is presented by the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies in collaboration with the Amici Italian Club and the Film Studies Program at Montclair State University and in connection with the February performances of ROCCO at the Kasser Theatre and the February 17th Inserra event, “Choreographers Greco and Scholten on the Creation of ROCCO”.
