The Inserra Chair is pleased to present an engaging upcoming event entitled "Come sta l’italiano? The Present and Future of Italian Language and Culture Studies" (Tuesday Nov. 15 6.30-8.30pm, Lecture Hall 101, Feliciano School of Business).

Presented right after the conclusion of the 2016 Stati Generali della Lingua Italiana which addressed the topic of Italian language in the world, this round table will offer an overview of the current situation of the field of Italian Studies and identify points of traditional strength that it can still leverage. By bringing together a diverse group of experts ranging from professors to representatives of academic organizations and government institutions, the talk will illustrate the new directions that this field has taken and continues to take in order to foster interest in the Italian language and culture in a structured and sustainable way.
