Login and Password
Login Instructions
Step 1: Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard. On the login screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard to proceed to the sign-in page.
Step 2: Enter your username (Montclair NetID) and Password.
Step 3: Access your desktop by selecting Enter or by clicking the arrow.

Password Management

VPN Access Before Login
In rare cases a user may need to access the campus network prior to logging on to the computer. To do so a user will need to start the VPN connection to the campus network as detailed below. This feature is standard on all University provisioned Windows laptops. If you do not have a VPN account please submit a request via ServiceNow or call the IT Service Desk to request one.
* Please make sure that you have a MSU VPN account. If you do not have one, call the MSU Service desk to submit a request to have one created.
Note to international travelers: Access may be restricted based on country.
To access the VPN, go to login page and hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the log on prompt.
Then look to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and select the VPN icon.
When you see the VPN prompt appear, if necessary, type into the white box VPN.MONTCLAIR.EDU for the connection you need and select connect.

Another prompt will appear asking for your information. Please be sure that you have your DUO account setup correctly. Enter the following information in the text boxes.
GROUP: Select “Campus”
USERNAME: <Your NetID username>
PASSWORD: <Your NetID password>
SECOND PASSWORD: type PUSH
Then select OK.

Now you are connected to the Montclair Campus Network and you should be able to log on to your machine.
