Wired Port Connection
You will need a computer with an Ethernet port and the Ethernet cable to connect to the wired network. Plug the Ethernet cord first into your computer, and then into the wall port.
Montclair State University provides direct hardwired connectivity to the University’s network in faculty & staff offices and most student residential halls.
For faster speeds and lower latency, IT recommends using the wired network for data-intensive applications, streaming large content, gaming and printing.

Using the Internet on MSU Wired requires a one-time registration.
The following steps are identical for all browsers and platforms.
From your web browser, navigate to MSU Wired.
When prompted, log in with your Montclair State NetID and password.
