Montclair State University uses Jamf Pro to manage its fleet of Mac computers and iPads. It gives our technicians the ability to proactively manage the entire lifecycle of Apple devices. This includes deploying and maintaining software, responding to security threats, distributing settings, and analyzing inventory data.
2023 Changes to the Apple Computer Configuration
The Jamf Connect functionality was distributed to all eligible computers in February 2023. The full news posting can be found here. Jamf Connect creates a better sync process between your NetID and your computer, eliminating keychain and log-in issues when you change your password. Jamf Connect requires macOS Mojave 10.14 or later.
Installing Applications/Elevating Privileges
The Mac Software Center (Self-Service) is a tool for installing and updating software on University-owned and managed Apple devices without the need for administrative rights. Self Service requires an Internet connection to function properly.
