Update to Windows 11 – Campus Update
Posted in: Desktop Software, News
On Monday, July 11, 2022, the Division of Information Technology began the rollout of Windows 11 and 10-21H2 (for those computers ineligible for Windows 11) to the IT managed devices across campus. As of today, approximately 76% of the campus has received Windows 11 or 10 – 21H2.
In an effort to get our campus to 100% completion status, we are asking that you make sure that all machines within your area are turned on and connected to the internet. Each machine MUST be turned on in order to receive the update.
Our goal is to achieve 100% completion of compatible machines so that MSU’s machines are the most current and secure. On October 14th, a “forced restart” will take place for those machines that have not been restarted for any reason.
If you feel that you should have received the update “Deployment Schedule” and did not or are experiencing issues with your upgrade, please contact our IT Service Desk at (973) 655-7971, option 1, or your local academic technology team.
