Navigate Alerts and Cases
Posted in: News
Though the first progress reporting period is over, instructors can still issue alerts at any time to share messages with students and their advisors. Instructors can click on the student’s name on their Navigate class roster, then “Issue an Alert” at the right of the student’s profile page. Advisors will receive an email notification (new!), review the alert, conduct outreach, and assist the student with identifying a plan of action.
Navigate helps a student’s support network stay connected! New this term are “cases,” which connect instructors and tutors from the Center for Academic Success and Tutoring in support of individual students. When an instructor raises the “Tutoring Needed” alert, a case is opened and a tutor is assigned to reach out to the student for an appointment. The tutor then records notes and outcomes for the instructor to see on their homepage in the “My Issued Alerts” section.
