New University Video Conferencing

Montclair State University has adopted Zoom as the new University video conferencing solution to be used in conjunction with BigBlueButton through Canvas. Zoom offers a full-featured web conferencing tool that allows participants to join via web browser, smartphone, tablet, or landline and supports live video and screen sharing.

Currently faculty are already licensed and are encouraged to use BigBlueButton, integrated with Canvas, for course-related web conferencing. Zoom is targeted for non-course-related web conferencing. All employees are by default able to join any Zoom conference and to initiate short (under 40 minutes) conferences.
