Information About How to Change Your Benefit Plan During the Month of October.

The New Jersey Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) has designated October 1, 2020 – October 31, 2020, as Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment is your yearly opportunity to review benefits and make changes for the next calendar year. All changes made during Open Enrollment will be effective on Friday, January 1, 2021.
No action is required, if you do not wish to change or modify your medical or dental benefits.
If you want to participate in the Tax$ave Medical and/or Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) in 2021, you must enroll in the FSA plan(s) during Open Enrollment. Enrollment in the Tax$ave FSAs do not renew automatically from plan year to plan year.
Please see the information about the October on-campus Human Resources satellite office which will be located at the School of Business, Room 327.
What’s New
New Online Enrollment Process for Health Benefits
The New Jersey Division of Pensions & Benefits has launched an on-line portal. The new site will be accessed through your MyNewJersey portal account and is called Benefitsolver.
Benefitsolver will be your online portal for information about your health benefits and to complete your SHBP health applications online. The Benefitsolver Portal enables employee enrolled in the SHBP to:
- Add eligible dependents
- Upload documentation right to the website
- Access links to all your health benefit vendors
- View your health benefits coverage
- Have 24/7 access to Benefitsolver
- Download the Mychoice mobile app
Beginning Thursday, October 1, 2020, employees will be able to log into the Benefitsolver website by accessing a link on the MyNewJersey portal (my.state.nj.us). If you have trouble creating an account and/or accessing the portal, please contact NJOIT support. Please Note: This link does not support the Benefitsolver website.

Important: Open Enrollment Deadline – Employees will have until Saturday, October 31, 2020, to submit health elections via Benefitsolver.
Tax$ave Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
The NJ Division of Pensions and Benefits has awarded Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ as the administrator of the Tax$ave FSA (HorizonMyWay) Program for 2021.
The Employees’ Tax Savings Program, Tax$ave, lets you set aside before-tax dollars to pay for certain medical, dental, and dependent care costs.
You must re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) each plan year to participate, plans do not renew automatically.

- Visit HorizonBlue.com/enrollfsa and enter your date of birth and social security number. Then click “Enter” to access our online enrollment tool.

Incentive Program for Horizon OMNIA Tiered-Network Plan
The Incentive Program for Horizon OMNIA has been extended through Thursday, December 31, 2020. The program offers a financial incentive of $1,000 to first-time enrollees for all coverage levels (i.e., Single, Member and Spouse, Parent and Child, or Family coverage) who remain enrolled in the OMNIA plan for one year. The incentive is paid by gift card no later than the end of the current tax year and is deemed reportable income for tax purposes.
Generic Prescription Mail Order Incentive
Employees will pay $0 for a 90-day supply of Generic prescriptions filled through the mail order program. This incentive will continue for at least one plan year, subject to renewal by the SHBP Program Design Committee. For additional information, please contact 844-368-8740.
Membership to Direct Primary Care Medical Home Doctor’s Office Included in State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) Open Enrollment at No Additional Cost
The SHBP offers employees and their covered dependents the opportunity to join a Direct Primary Care Medical Home (DPCMH) doctor’s office at no additional cost. This is available as part of the Horizon plans and does not require any changes to members’ health plan election.
Simply choose a DPCMH doctor from Paladina Health or R-Health and get unlimited access to personalized care with no copayments, when and where it is convenient for you. DPCMH doctors provide a full range of services including preventive, urgent, and sick care, health and wellness coaching, chronic disease management, and care coordination.

On-Campus Location: The Human Resources satellite office is located at the Feliciano School of Business, Room 327. There will be Benefits representatives available to answer Open Enrollment questions and to assist with uploading documents to the Benefitsolver portal.
The on-campus Human Resources satellite office will be open:
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 13, – Thursday, October 29, 2020
Please Note: There is no on-campus HR satellite office times on Mondays or Fridays. The office is open and available via email (benefits@montclair.edu) and phone (973-655-3839).
