2025 Benefits Open Enrollment

The New Jersey Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) has designated October 1, 2024 – October 31, 2024, as Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment is your yearly opportunity to review benefits and make changes for the next calendar year. All changes made during Open Enrollment will be effective on January 1, 2025.

Enrollment

• No action is required if you do not wish to change or modify your medical benefits.
• Action is required for the dental plans if you are currently enrolled in the Cigna, Horizon or Metlife dental plans and do not want to be auto-enrolled in the Aetna Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO).
• Action is required to enroll and re-enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts.
• Starting today, Tuesday October 1, employees will be able to log into the Benefitsolver website by accessing a link on their MyNewJersey portal or via mynjbenefitshub.nj.gov.

What’s New?

• Attend the in-person Benefits Fair Hosted by the Division of Human Resources this Thursday, October 3
• The Virtual Benefits Fair will begin today, Tuesday, October 1
• Attend one of the in-person Bloomfield Campus Open Enrollment Workshops
• Dental Plans for 2025
  • Two different dental plan designs are available:
    • Aetna and Horizon Dental Expense Plans (DEP)
    • Aetna Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO)
• Members currently enrolled in either: Cigna, Horizon or Metlife dental plans will be automatically defaulted to the Aetna DMO. Employees may change their dental plan by logging into Benefitsolver.
• Medical, prescription drug and dental plan rates for 2025 were approved by the State. Rate charts will be posted to the NJDPB website. 

Flexible Spending Accounts

If you want to participate in the Tax$ave Medical and/or Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) in 2025, you must enroll in the FSA plan(s) during Open Enrollment.

Enrollment in the Tax$ave FSAs do not renew automatically from plan year to plan year. You must re-enroll every year.
