What IS Leadership University at Montclair?
To be an effective leader, it’s essential to Know Yourself, Know How to Lead & Know How to Manage.
As part of HR Learning & Development’s mission, we offer an 8-week hybrid program focused on these three key areas each Fall and Spring. Our audience is newly hired or newly promoted people managers (director & below; ≤ 2 yrs. in role) who have been nominated by their department VP. Each session is conducted once/week for 2-4 hours, depending on the content. Ultimately, the objective of the Leadership University program is to develop the skills and confidence needed to meet career goals and prosper as a leader at Montclair State University, while fostering a sense of community among program participants.
Here is a snapshot of how the program is structured:
If you are a VP who is interested in submitting a nomination from your team or would like to discuss how YOU can participate in the Spring 2024 Leadership University, please contact Erika Bush, Director of Learning and Development (bushe@montclair.edu).
