2020 Holiday Timekeeping Guidance
Reminder: Columbus Day Time Input Guidelines.

Human Resources has provided Timekeeping guidance for the 2020 Fall and Winter Holiday for employees and students.
The chart below is specific to the Columbus Day holiday as an example of how to input time for holidays:
Group | Day off on Columbus Day | Worked on Columbus Day |
---|---|---|
CWA | You do not have to take any action in Workday. | Enter your regular scheduled hours (7.00 hours for a 35-hour week and 8.00 hours for a 40-hour week) for the day under “Comp Time Accrued @ 1.5.” |
AFT | If you took the holiday off and choose to use a Vacation day during the 2020 December Closing, do not take any action in Workday (as you will not earn “AFT Holiday Worked” time for the holiday closures). | Enter 7 hours under “AFT Holiday Accrued.” |
IFPTE | You do not have to take any action in Workday. | Enter your regular scheduled hours (7.00 hours for a 35-hour week & 8.00 hours for a 40- hour week) for that day under “Comp Time Accrued @ 1.5.” |
Managers | Do not Enter anything in Workday unless you were absent, in which case you must use sick or vacation time balances | Do not Enter anything in Workday. |
Police | Enter time off as usual. | Enter time as usual. |
Temporary & Student Workers | Do not enter anything in Workday for these days. | Enter time as usual. |
