Dr. Nancy Carnevale of the History Department was invited to teach Italian American history in Rome as part of the Italian Diaspora Studies Summer Seminar (IDSSS). The three-week program which took place in June 2018 is a collaboration between the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute of Queens College/CUNY and Università degli Studi Roma Tre. The annual program, now in its fourth year, is intended to introduce participating fellows–professors, doctoral and post-doctoral students–to Italian Diaspora Studies through multiple disciplinary perspectives. This year’s fellows came from the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The seminar was highlighted in an article in the Italian daily, Corriere della Sera.
