Nursing (Pre-licensure MSN)

Have you ever thought about becoming a registered nurse (RN), but earned your baccalaureate degree in a non-nursing discipline?

Montclair State University is now offering an accelerated, 7-session program, which will educate you to become a licensed registered nurse (RN) and sit the NCLEX-RN exam after successfully completing the program.

With a unique focus on care coordination and evidence-based practice, our students gain the knowledge required for making a difference in the lives of persons, families, and communities.

This is your first step to becoming a registered nurse.

The master’s degree program in nursing at Montclair State University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

If you are interested in the MSN program and are already a registered nurse (RN) that holds a BSN degree, learn more about our Nursing (MSN) Online program options.

Please refer to our programs of study page for a comprehensive list of all of the graduate programs offered within the university.

*F1/J1 visa seeking students are not eligible for this program.
