Community
Montclair State has a diverse and vibrant community of more than 4,500 graduate students studying in a variety of programs with on-campus, online, and hybrid modalities. The University’s welcoming and supportive faculty are experts in their field and take a genuine interest in the success of every student. In addition, the dedicated and caring Graduate School team serves the needs of all graduate students from application through graduation.
In 2019, Montclair State was designated as a Carnegie R-2 Doctoral University – High Research Activity institution. Additionally, Montclair State was named a Top 25 LGBTQ Friendly Campus by College Consensus. The University is also a U.S. Department of Education-designated Hispanic-Serving Institution.
