Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society (AEL)
In recognition of their academic achievement and leadership, graduate students who have completed at least 18 graduate credits and who have grade point averages in the top 20% of their school or college are invited by The Graduate School to join AEL. Invitations are mailed from The Graduate School to all eligible students once a semester. The annual induction ceremony takes place once each year in the spring.
The Graduate Development Conference
The Graduate Student Development Conference sponsored by The Graduate School in collaboration with faculty from the five colleges and schools, provides students with workshop sessions each fall that cover topics for academic and professional development.
The Graduate Student Advisory Board
The Graduate Student Advisory Board consists of student representatives serving their colleges to advise the Graduate Dean on student related topics from around the University.
The Graduate School Listserv & Website
The Graduate School maintains a listserv (e-mail announcement group) to provide important information to all graduate students, and uses this forum for announcements, deadline reminders, policy changes, etc.
Student Research & Conference Travel Fund Awards
The Graduate School provides modest funding to graduate students enrolled in degree programs to participate in professional development for the current academic year. Activities that may be funded include presenting research at a conference, and/or travel for gathering data for research.
