Commonly known as our Teaching Track, the Families, Children, and School Settings concentration emphasizes the study of the family and human development while preparing students to pursue certification for teaching in schools at the P-3 or K-6 level.
Students examine the various cultural, community, and socioeconomic contexts in which families function, and learn interventions that support children and families in a variety of educational settings. Students declare this concentration in order to apply to MSU’s Teacher Education Program.
