Online Course Design Templates
These templates are strategies for reviewing course design, and are not a substitute for course observation, which would include observation of student engagement and participation in the course.
OSCQR Scorecard [Open SUNY Course Quality Review]. A detailed rubric, with special attention to instructional design and accessibility. Also appropriate for instructor self-evaluation.
Chico Rubric for Online Instruction. A detailed rubric, organized by category, that ensures that key elements of an online course are present.
Online Observation Protocol Sheet. Developed by Western Michigan University researchers, specifically for online STEM course.
