Designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), Montclair State University is committed to promoting an inclusive environment to support the success and sense of belonging of all Hispanic students, faculty, and staff. What can faculty do to achieve this goal in their classrooms and other interactions with students? Inspired by Hispanic/Latino/a/e Heritage Month, we’ve invited members of our faculty and staff to talk about their experiences and practices around issues of representation, support, identity, belonging, and bias. Our panelists share their strategies for making Hispanic/Latino/a/e Heritage Month more than a month.
