Fire Safety Staff Contribute to APPA’s Body of Knowledge

Members of Montclair State University’s Fire Safety Department were featured in the Center for Campus Fire Safety’s October newsletter.

Robert Ferrara and Jeff Issler were acknowledged for their contributions in the writing of a 29-page Fire Safety document for APPA’s Body of Knowledge (BOK). “The BOK–available in a searchable, digital database–develops, updates, and disseminates the foundational content required by facilities professionals at colleges, universities, schools, museums, and other nonprofit, educational organizations.”

Ferrara and Issler’s document, “Fire Prevention on College and University Campuses,” will be available online for APPA members through their Member Library in the section called “The Body of Knowledge.”  The Center for Campus Fire Safety will also make this document available to members in early 2015.
