Fall 2011 Poster Contest Rules
Posted in: Fire Safety Updates
This year’s fire safety theme is “Protect your Family from Fire!” Here, at Montclair State University, we are one big family and we all have the obligation to keep all of our family members safe.
All resident community members are encouraged to participate!
“What will you get for your hard work?” you may be asking.
Awards:*
Third Place: $100.00
Second Place: $300.00
First Place: $ 500.00
AND the first place winner’s artwork will be reproduced and displayed throughout campus!
As with any contest, there are a few rules…
Official Rules:
All submissions must be on the paper provided to each residence hall; this paper may be acquired through your Community Assistant or directly through your Community Director. Submissions on any other media will not be accepted.
All posters are due by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, 9/30/11; posters must be turned in to your Community Assistant or to your Community Director.
Submissions may be from individuals or teams. Teams may not consist of more than two people. Only one submission is permitted per person or team.
Submissions will only be accepted from current undergraduate students at Montclair State University.
All submissions must have the artist’s(s’) name(s), residence hall(s), and room number(s) on the reverse side of the artwork. Because this artwork will be duplicated and displayed throughout campus, please ensure that this information is on the reverse side.
Perhaps the most important rule: Be creative! A panel will judge the posters based off of creativity and aesthetics. Although the inclusion of this year’s theme (“Protect your Family from Fire”) is not required, we ask that you, at the very least, include a theme relevant to campus fire safety in your poster.
Finally, please note that all submissions will automatically become to property of Montclair State University.
If you have any questions, please refer them to fire@montclair.edu
*All prizes will be awarded as gift certificates to the University Bookstore. (Hey! You have to buy books, after all!)
