PhD Student Takes Second Place in 2023 NJWEA Student Poster Competition

Qiufeng Lin, a PhD candidate in Environmental Science and Management, has recently been awarded an impressive second place in the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) Student Poster Competition held in Atlantic City, NJ on May 10. Her outstanding presentation on ferrate(VI)-based wastewater reclamation for agricultural irrigation captivated both the judges and her peers, showcasing her expertise and effectively communicating the significance of her research to a wide audience.
Under the guidance of Professor Yang Deng (Department of Earth and Environmental Studies), Qiufeng is actively engaged in exploring innovative water reuse technologies. Her research primarily focuses on enhancing the sustainability and resilience of water supply systems in response to climate change. Her work contributes to advancing water management practices, addressing critical issues in the environmental field, and promoting a more sustainable water future.
