Oluwafemi Soetan awarded Scholarship from The Land Conservancy of New Jersey
This scholarship will contribute to Femi’s research aiming to influence policies on water resource conservation and global water security

He is currently working with his Ph.D. adviser, Dr. Huan Feng on research focused on investigating the efficiency and sustainability of remedial measures applied to ecologically-imbalanced freshwater ecosystems that have been negatively impacted by anthropogenic input and human activities. He joined the MSU Ph.D. program in Environmental Science and Management in Spring 2021, after completing his MSc. in Water and Wastewater Engineering at Cranfield University, UK.
Established in 1981, The Land Conservancy of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of land and water resources through the empowerment of individuals and communities. For 38 years, the organization has awarded scholarships to residents of New Jersey who are pursuing degrees in environmental studies and who hope to have careers protecting our natural resources.
