Darlene Gillard
Director of Community/Founding Team Member | digitalundivided
Darlene is part of the Founding team and Senior Advisor for digitalundivided, a social enterprise that fosters economic growth through the empowerment of Black and Latinx women entrepreneurs using innovation as a tool. In addition to providing executive co-leadership to digitalundivided’s staff and key stakeholders, Darlene oversees all community partnerships and events for the organization. She is part of the leadership team behind digitalundivided’s multi city expansion and signature programs including the BIG Innovation Center and BIG Incubator – the first and only space and tech incubator program dedicated to the training and support of Black and Latinx women founders of high-growth tech companies.
Prior to digitalundivided, Darlene held senior leadership positions at several national media outlets for women including Women’s Wear Daily, W, Essence, and Elle Magazine. She has also spearheaded projects for Time Inc, eBay, Conde Nast, Disney and the International Downtown Association.
In addition to her professional work, Darlene is a dedicated volunteer in her community and is often tapped for public speaking engagements including Georgia Tech, Grace Hopper Conference for Women in Computing, and SXSW to name a few.
