Laura Overdeck
Founder and President | Bedtime Math Foundation
Laura Bilodeau Overdeck is the Founder and President of Bedtime Math Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to make nightly math as common and beloved as the bedtime story. She is the author of three best-selling children’s books published by Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, with the most recent named an Amazon Best Book of the Month. Overdeck also writes Bedtime Math’s daily math challenges at bedtimemath.org, and directs a growing number of national partnerships to increase children’s access to kid-appealing math. Prior to founding Bedtime Math in 2012, Overdeck worked for Stanford Research Institute/SRI Consulting, where she helped high-tech clients build mathematical models to forecast sales for new products. She is a Vice Chair of the Board of Liberty Science Center, and serves on the advisory boards of Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Governor’s School of New Jersey, the President’s Advisory Council at Princeton University, and Science Friday. Overdeck holds a BA in astrophysics from Princeton and an MBA in public policy from the Wharton School of Business. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their three increasingly math-savvy children. In her free time Laura enjoys exploring chocolate, wine, extreme vehicles, and Lego Mindstorms robotics.
