Barbara Agoglia is Vice President of Global Brand and Communications for the Commercial Payments Business. Barb is known as a forward focused marketer who puts the customer at the center of everything she does. She is currently creating a brand architecture that will redefine how businesses connect with other businesses.
Barb has held many other roles in different customer segments and various touch points across American Express. During her tenure in Global Commercial Services, Barb was the Vice President of Global End to End Marketing, she focused on the evolving needs of our global business clients. Prior to this role, she led the OPEN Customer Marketing Team, driving double digit growth in DBB and revenue as well as developing transformational capabilities to enable highly relevant, personalized marketing. Barb is most proud of the work she’s done to refresh the Business Platinum Portfolio adding new value for Small Business Owners; launching the first Project Resource Team at American Express, a team designed to offer flexible work arrangements to high performing employees; and leading the launch of the Costco TrueEarnings card, the first card in market with flat rewards tiers. The common thread throughout her career has been about creating a customer designed experience. Barb is also known for her personal brand development sessions and commitment to helping to connect people.
Before working at American Express Barbara worked at ING Barings and was involved in the contemporary art world. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University. Barb spends her free time with her two sons, in a myriad of outdoors activities.
