Karen Rossilli-Kiefer

Karen has developed and grown a business which continues to be in a male dominated profession. This flooring company was founded in 1992 as a “mother and daughter team” and became a Certified WBE (Woman Business Enterprise) by the State of NJ in 1997. Now solely owned by Karen Rossilli-Kiefer, she has developed a strong niche in value engineering, specifying and installing commercial flooring in the private and public sectors. Her particular expertise is one that marries the client’s aesthetic design while maintaining its budgetary goals. She has grown this business into a multi million dollar company through perseverance and old fashion business practices… each client is important and no project is too small. Because of her intense attention to detail and extensive product knowledge, she has earned the respect and confidence of others and is now asked by developers, builders and architects to specify products for large condominium and urban renewal projects, Grade “A” office space, school systems, health clubs and medical institutions. She has been the President of this company since 1999, which has now evolved into TeamPAR.

“Caring is sharing” has been a philosophy this flooring company adopted since its business was founded. A portion of its sales have been donated to local charities over the years in excess of $25,000. This philanthropic focus has expanded beyond her company. As a long standing member of CREW-NJ, Karen formed the Philanthropy Committee for this professional organization over 13 years ago. In 2004 she was awarded the first ever Star Award issued by CREW-NJ for her philanthropic efforts and ingenuity to develop women focused events that help strengthen women in the workforce and their family lives. She was again honored with receiving this award in 2011 for her continual efforts.

On behalf of TeamPAR & CREW-NJ, Karen has been in charge of orchestrating a toy drive for the Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter for 14 consecutive years. Each holiday season these toys are distributed to mothers who have left the shelter and are on their own but still cannot afford to buy toys for their children. Approximately 400 children enjoy happy holidays annually due to her efforts.

Karen’s love for business and design started her career in product development for Talbots, J Crew & CK Jeans in NYC. She also was the VP of Operations & Production for a gourmet gift food company, Shonfeld’s, before joining PAR Flooring, Inc.

Karen has been happily married to her husband, Jack, for 18 years and has 3 sons: Cole (13), Bret (10) and Luke (2). They reside in Mendham Township, NJ and spend their spare time on their farm in Sweet Valley, PA.
