Cheryl Biron
President and CEO | One Horn Transportation
Cheryl Biron is president and CEO of One Horn Transportation, a trucking and logistics brokerage she co-founded in 2005 with her husband Louis. Through its “Constant Reinvention” strategy, One Horn pivoted from an asset-based carrier owning tractor-trailers to an agent-based brokerage using independent contractors to move their customers’ loads. As a result of this strategy, One Horn was ranked among the 50 Fastest Growing Women Owned/Led Companies in North America by the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) in for the past four years. In addition, One Horn was also ranked as one of New Jersey’s 50 Fastest Growing Businesses by NJBIZ in 2013 and 2014. Biron was also named one of the 50 Best Women in Business by NJBIZ and a Brava Award winner by Smart CEO Magazine in 2014. Biron also serves as CMO for Stratebo Technologies, a company she and her husband/business partner launched in January to provide brokerage tools to companies shipping their own freight using their proprietary software package, Stratebo.
Prior to embarking on her entrepreneurial path, Biron held marketing positions running consumer packaged goods brands in various corporations, including Procter & Gamble, Block Drug Company (now owned by Glaxo SmithKline), and Prestige Brands. She also worked at Merrill Lynch in investment banking between her undergraduate and MBA degrees.
Biron earned her MBA from the Wharton School and her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. Biron is a board member for EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization) New Jersey and an active member of the Wharton Club of NJ.
