One lucky Montclair State student will win $100 in Red Hawk dollars at the Thurs. Oct. 22 free event, “The Future of Health Care.” The Thurs. Oct. 22 event is 6-8:30 p.m. in the University Hall conference center (7th floor).
Pre-register for the Thurs. Oct. 22 event.
Here’s how to enter the random drawing: Entrants must swipe into the event via HawkSync/OrgSync by 6:45 p.m. (but you’ll want to be there at 6 p.m. for the free pizza). The winner will be announced at approximately 8:30 p.m. You must be present to win! If your name is randomly selected and you’re not there, we will move on and draw another student’s name.
Contest only open to Montclair State students, with valid student ID–you must have a university ID card to swipe into the event.
This is not the first time the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship has been involved with an exciting student contest. In September, we partnered with Push for Pizza to offer a free pizza deal for the semester to one lucky student.

“The Future of Health Care”
Montclair State conference center, 7th floor of University Hall
Join us as we travel forward in time – to 2020 and beyond – to have a peek at the future of health care. Edie Weiner, a renowned futurist, will keynote this event and moderate a panel of women leaders in the health care space. The panelists will look far into the future to predict what might be happening in exciting tech-related areas. What is the future of robot caretakers in Japan and beyond? Julie Bauer, president of Panasonic Consumer Corp. of North America, will give us the scoop and talk about how the company – a world leader in robotics – is developing medical robots to help with patient care. Looking ahead with regard to genomics, the average person will throw off 1.2 or 1.3 terabytes of data – how is any human going to be able to process all of that data and make it useful to clinicians at the point of care? Louisa Roberts, associate partner at IBM Watson Life Sciences, will discuss how Watson – the computer that beat geniuses on Jeopardy! – will be able to democratize health care and help prevent disease before it materializes. How might sensory stimulation, including taste and smell, be impacted by health care in the future? Tina Garyantes, an expert in sensory science and VP of Innovation at Chromocell, will fill us in.
