The $10,000 check has arrived!

$10,000 big check — Students competing in the May 4 pitch contest take a break from strategizing on their presentations to admire the $10,000 ceremonial check

It’s always a happy day at the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship when the $10,000 ceremonial check arrives for the TeleBrands Inventors Day for Aspiring Entrepreneurs pitch contest. The check will be awarded to one ecstatic team of Montclair State students on May 4, at the University Hall 7th floor conference center.

The $10,000 pitch contest is open to students who have completed the 9-credit Certificate of Entrepreneurship (which consists of ENTR 201, 301 and 302). The contest is held each year in May, and is presented by the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship and funded by AJ Khubani, a Montclair State alum who is the founder of TeleBrands. The student teams pitch a product or service they have created and refined during two semesters of work.

The 42 students who are participating come from every college/school at Montclair State. Give your vocal cords a workout by cheering for the students from the college/school you are affiliated with, or root for the student team that has the product/service you find most interesting!

9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Preliminary round pitches
12:30-1:00 p.m. Promise Prize presentation, awarding of Entrepreneurship Certificates
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Free pizza lunch
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Final round of pitches

Come to any part of the day that you can, but the most dramatic and exciting part of the day will be 2-4 p.m.!
