English MA Student, Daniela Conte, Wins Award for Her Essay

Best Graduate Paper Presented at NJEA Conference 2017

Congratulations to Daniela Conte, a Master’s degree candidate in the Department of English who was invited to present a paper at the annual conference of the New Jersey College English Association on April 1 at Seton Hall University. She won the award for the best graduate student paper with her essay entitled “Voice, Cultural Identity, and Inclusion: Examining African American Exclusion and Urban Language Issues in Higher Education.” She first developed this paper in a Graduate Research Methods course taught by Dr. Naomi Liebler in 2016. She also presented on this topic at the at the University of Rhode Island Graduate Conference.
